Our Story

The Family Center of Brockton is a program of the United Way of Greater Plymouth County and its daily functions are overseen by Community Connection of Brockton. The Family Center is founded on the Five Protective Factors Framework: Nurturing and Attachment, Knowledge of Parenting and of Child and Youth Development, Parental Resilience, Social Connections, and Concrete Supports for Parents and progress made are collected for every family that comes to the center.

Brockton’s Promise is the coalition that formed Community Connections of Brockton. Community Connections of Brockton (CCB) was transformed from the Community Connections Coalition of Massachusetts.  CCB actively partners with families, parents, residents, CBOs, human service agencies, businesses, and other affiliates who are invested in the strengthening families and neighborhoods for the future of Brockton.  We engage in coordinating resources in communities by giving residents a voice in community planning and organizing, and ensuring that services meet the needs of the families in the communities.

The center always looks for ways to bring services to the community where people meet, worship, and feel safe. We seek ways to help the community in many forms. The staff believes that efforts from their work will lead to neighborhood residents achieving the following milestones: gaining an increased self‐sufficiency, developing increased adult educational attainment, etc.

All of our services at the Family Center are at NO COST or eligibility requirements to families and we welcome all families!
