We are currently looking for parents of school aged children to become involved in general meetings, committee meetings and to serve on the advisory committee. Across the state, Community Connections Coalitions are involved in a multitude of family support activities including:

Parent Support:

Emergency Services; Flexible, drop-in child care; Holiday support and food pantries; Home visiting; Library and toy lending; Parent and child activities and developmental education; Parent and teen groups and social activities; Playgroups

Civic Involvement:

Advocacy; Citizenship assistance; Meet the Candidates Nights; Voter registration

Teen Support:

Teen centers and teen groups; Youth and mentoring programs

Education:

Adult education; Conferences and workshops; Entrepreneurial opportunities; Health care education; Information and referral; Newsletters; School linked programs

Prevention:

Domestic violence awareness, services and prevention; Substance abuse prevention; Violence prevention 

Community Building:

Block parties; Community clean-up; Community gardens and playgrounds; Crime watches
